Completely flying under the Piemontese radar, the Burlotto family is one of the finest winemaking families in Barolo. The majority of their vineyards are based in the Verduno subregion, known for producing Nebbiolo of elegance and next-to-perfect balance. After a little bit of air the Burlotto Langhe Nebbiolo layers-up beautifully in the glass, showcasing stunning poise and complexity for its level. The medium-bodied wine is lithe yet sweeping, with evenly distributed grainy tannins and a finely supported mineral finish. The wine is delicious now, but always evolves positively, filling out in the bottle in just a few months. Drink or hold.
