45 year old vines planted in mostly flinty soils. Vinified and aged in demi-muids (600L oak barrels). Delicate aromas of chervil, pears and almonds mingle with the traditional gooseberries. More flinty and salty on the nose than the Montachins. The palate is clean and focused, with gorgeous aromatics and plenty of fruit, backed by a racy acidity. Will pair perfectly with goat's cheese, grilled vegetables or roasted poultry. A little decant is recommended.
