2018 Blanc de Noirs - $24.50
Aromatics of fresh red apple skins lead to a hint of strawberries and roasted almonds. The palate is clean and crisp with red fruits and a perfect balance of acidity and sweetness .
2018 Eden Valley Riesling - $19
Lime zest, lemongrass and a slight peach influence provide a pretty and lifted nose. Showing finesse and strong acid focus through the middle this is a more traditional Eden valley Riesling than previous vintages. With a great balance of fruit sweetness and acid this Riesling will stand the test of time!
2017 Stray Mongrel Grenache Shiraz Zinfandel - $24.50
Great aromatic detail in this wine with plum, blueberry, raspberry and toffee apple all getting a chance to shine. The palate is soft and even as is always the case with the Stray Mongrel. Expect layers of flavour that are similar to the nose although showing a little more bright red fruit. Texture, complexity and balance are the keys to this extremely successful blend.
2016 The Beauty Shiraz - $50
Peach, apricot and florals provide the lift while surrounded by blue and red fruits, white pepper and peaty earth sitting further in the background. This complex combination of flavours continues onto the palate with the blue/red fruits playing the leading role. Bright acid and tannin drive provide great focus down the middle, bright fruits providing the framework. Soft, expressive and complex.
2017 Old Legend Grenache - $53
This wine has a hugely complex & very evolving nose, showing various elements at every inhale - traditional aromatics of Turkish Delight & strawberry lead the way on the nose, followed closely by a strong spice & floral lift with specifics of nutmeg, lavender flower, rose oil, star anise, jasmine & quince paste! The palate shows the same level of complexity in flavours & a full, even tannin profile. There is a surprising level of density combined with a true air of elegance to this wine.
2016 The Beast Shiraz - $85
"Identical vinification to Clos Otto, but a very different mouthfeel and structure. There is an urgency to the wine as it rushes forwards to the finish, making sure it leaves its footprints along the way. While full-bodied, there is intensity and focus, leaving space for finely ground tannins (and, of course, French oak) to make their mark." - 95 Points, James Halliday
2016 Clos Otto Shiraz - $195
"Destemmed estate fruit, open-fermented with cultured yeast, 6-12 days on skins, 22 months in French oak (65% new). Deep, dark crimson-purple; a wine of immense power matched by elegance achieved in the vinification. High quality cedary oak provides a platform for the succulent black berry fruits and velvety tannins on the finish" - 96 Points, James Halliday
2010 Clos Otto Shiraz - $425
Aromatics of currants, dark inky fruits of blackberry and blueberry, and an underlying earthy complexity are followed by a deep, dense and impeccably balanced palate. A complex array of dark fruits, earthy undertones and balanced oak flavours of chocolate and spice combine with the soft velvety tannins that are synonymous with the rich, voluptuous Clos Otto.
