THE WINES

2018 Marsanne - $45
"Marsanne is a key component of the Northern Rhone’s Hermitage Blanc and it’s always been our intention to showcase this varietal with a single vineyard expression. The exceptional purity of fruit is completely reliant on the narrow window of ‘optimum ripeness’ and each row was assessed daily in the lead up to picking." - Torbreck

2018 Harris Grenache - $38
"This single site Grenache comes from the Harris Vineyard located in Marananga on the western ridge of the Barossa Valley. Grown as bush vines in iron stone rich brown loam and clay soils the resulting wine is highly expressive with fragrant aromatics, tension and balance. At the heart of this wine is a soft plump cherry fruit core and soft mouth coating tannins. The bouquet offers sweet raspberries and ripe cherry, further lifted with a complex array of black pepper, violets and liquorice." - Torbreck

2018 Woodcutters Shiraz - $24
"An above average winter rainfall led into a below average spring and summer rainfall, producing small bunches and small berries, leading to a reduced yield. Quality was certainly high, particular amongst our red varieties of Shiraz, Grenache and Mataro. 2018 wines will be remembered for their impressive colour, structure and longevity." - Torbreck

2018 Hillside Shiraz Roussanne - $27
"The bouquet is vibrant and lifted with hints of fresh cassis, nutmeg and spice. The palate is where the silky texture and balance of this wine really shines through - a dense, fresh portfolio, awash with rich red fruits, wild blackberry, peppercorns and hints of bitter dark chocolate. The generous fine tannin structure creates a soft, elegant wine style" - Torbreck

2010 The Factor Shiraz - $119
"Deep garnet-purple color and a 100% Shiraz wine aged in predominately older oak, the 2010 The Factor reveals a stunningly beautiful nose of creme de cassis, plum pudding and blackberry coulis with intriguing flourishes of licorice, dark chocolate, cloves and peppered salami. Big and voluptuously fruited in the full-bodied mouth, this is a full-on, complex Shiraz possessing a great foundation of firm, rounded tannins and an energized acid backbone to bring everything to a finish with outstanding length and harmony." - 97+ Points, Wine Advocate

2012 RunRig Shiraz - $235
"I feel like the consistency and quality of Torbreck's flagship wine has only increased over time. The 2012 RunRig is gorgeously floral and vibrant, with concentrated red berries, characteristic weight and intensity on the palate and supple, silky tannins. It's delicious now, but it should age gracefully through at least 2035." - 99 Points, Wine Advocate

2016 RunRig Shiraz
"A blend of 98% Shiraz and 2% Viognier made just prior to bottling, the 2016 RunRig is a complete masterpiece. It kicks off with elegant notes of pencil shavings accenting blueberries and blackberries on the nose, then shows incredible, palate-staining intensity of fruit in the mouth. It's full-bodied, plush and velvety without being unstructured and manages to be fruit-forward yet savory on the long-lasting finish, where it picks up hints of mocha and black olives. This should be drinkable with pleasure throughout its entire two-decade life (it may live longer from cold cellars or in larger formats), but if I were lucky enough to have a bottle or two, I'd try the first one about 10 years out." - 100 Points, Wine Advocate
