We absolutely love Steve Flamsteed's wines here at The Wine Emporium, and after seeing the results of last week's Royal Queensland Wine Show for his 2018 Giant Steps Nocton Vineyard Pinot Noir, we are positively thrilled. Winning four trophies, including Grand Champion Wine of Show, this little gem is the sole focus of today's email - both delicious and very well priced, this one is sure to go pretty quickly, so first come, first served. 2018 Nocton Vineyard Pinot Noir - $65
"What’s this?! From Nocton in Tasmania, just down the way from Domaine A in Coal River Valley. A departure here. “A bit of fun” says Steve Flamsteed. Get in early. Faint whiffs of seaweed, iodine, then dark cherries, touch of plummy stuff. Juicy in the palate, quite bombastic, concentrated, rich, but still has a freshness and light, with this lovely bitter twang to finish. Bolder style for sure, choc-plum going on, flesh and generosity, pumice stone-like rasp to tannins. Good, bigger footprint wine." - 93 Points, Mike Bennie, The Wine Front
