Keith and Clare Mugford have spent the better part of four decades working in the vineyards and making wine at their modest Wilyabrup property in Margaret River. In that time they have built a reputation for producing powerful and complex chardonnay and richly textured semillon. However it is their cabernet wines which have come to define their Moss Wood estate. Powerful, yet fine boned and elegant, they stylistically nod to Bordeaux, while showcasing their exceptional Wilyabrup terroir at their core. They are regarded as some of the finest cabernet produced anywhere in the country, and rightly so.
Margaret River was blessed with yet another superb vintage in 2015 and this tasting will give you an opportunity to see what a high quality, experienceD estate like Moss Wood can put in the bottle in such sensational conditions.
