THE WINES

2018 Grenache Rosé - $20
Pale salmon pink. Vibrant aromas of strawberries, rose petals and lime zest emerge from the glass. The palate is full of delicate berry fruits, mandarin, nicely textured with a touch of spice, crunchy acidity and a nice dry finish.

2017 Basket Pressed Grenache - $25
"Lovely rosy perfume over raspberry and brittle toffee. Medium-bodied, a plump juiciness to the red fruits, which while kind of jubey, veers neatly away from confectionery, fine-grained tannin, even acidity, a subtle black olive/meaty character grounds the wine, and the finish is gently tannic and long. It’s a smashing drink. Recommended." - 93 Points, The Wine Front

2015 Griffon's Key Grenache - $43
"Blueberry, ripe raspberry, flowers, aniseed and spice feature in this beautifully perfumed wine. Medium bodied, supple and delicious, ripe perfumed fruit, insistent light emery (or Amery) tannin weaves in texture, well settled acidity, gentle warmth and a spicy finish laden with fine grain tannin and poached rhubarb flavour. Superb. Should cellar very nicely too. I’ve had it around 94 or 95 points both times I’ve tried it." - 95 Points, The Wine Front

2017 Basket Pressed Shiraz - $25
"It’s a little rubbery and herbal, some pepper too, but has deep purple fruit at its core, alongside some aniseed and raspberry, toasty oak in support. Medium to full-bodied, grippy tannin, slight twang to the acidity, a typical ferrous quality, and a savoury black olive finish of good length. It feels curiously young and unevolved. Give it time." - 91 Points, The Wine Front

2016 Hillside Shiraz - $43
"Dense, meaty, plenty of toasty umami oak, blackberry, liquorice, dried herbs. Full-bodied, well packed and full of flavour, porcini mushroom, black fruits, something a bit ferrous, tightly knit dark chocolate tannin, bold finish where dark berries mix with all kinds of meaty/earthy flavours. Impressive. Muscular. Won’t leave you wondering. I don’t usually say this, but if you’re going in early, a good healthy spell in a decanter will do it wonders." - 95 Points, The Wine Front

2016 Block 6 Shiraz - $95
"Liquorice and blackness; could somebody please turn the lights back on? Full bodied, dense and massed with silty smooth tannin, black olives rolled in dried herb, iron, some vanilla oak prettiness, bright boysenberry acidity pushes it along, and then a long savoury earthen finish. Brooding and magnificent. It’s a top shelf Block 6." - 96 Points, The Wine Front
