THE WINES

NV Lallier R.015 Brut - $67  $60
A large majority of the cuvée R.015 comes from the 2015 vintage (80%), and from reserve wines (20%: vintage 2008, 2009 and 2012). It is elaborated from two grape varieties: Pinot Noir (61%) and chardonnay (39%), offering a large range of appealing aromas thanks to its character and generosity. R015 mirrors this solar and healthy year, unveiling to the nose peach, pear and hazelnut aromas. This everyday cuvée offers an ample and solar palate, with a perfect balance.

NV Jacquesson Cuvée 741 - $99  $89
"Our 2013 harvest from Ay, Dizy, Hautvillers, Avize and Oiry. The winter was very cold and snowy, with spring and early summer staying cold and very damp, causing coulure and millerandage as well as delaying the flowering. However, August and September were warmer and drier giving us a late, but excellent, harvest. The Pinot Noir from Ay and Dizy and the Chardonnays from Avize were particularly successful. The harvest was complemented by the addition of some reserve wines.' Disgorged February 2018" - Jacquesson

NV Ruinart - $89  $82
"R de Ruinart is the epitome of freshness and balance with generous proportions of Chardonnay (40%), Pinot Noir (50 to 55%), and Pinot Meunier (5 to 10%. Visually, its radiance is crystalline with a shimmering yellow colour and golden hues. The nose is delicate and fruity displaying dominant aromas of fresh white pear and dry fruits such as hazelnuts and almonds, followed by white flower notes, Viennese pastry and buttered brioche." - Ruinart

NV Ruinart Blanc de Blancs - $119  $113
"A very appealing and satisfying style that fully captures the elegance and poise of chardonnay. The aromas here are all based around lemons, grapefruit, honey, fresh floral notes, stone fruits and toasty autolysis – which is somewhat of a signature for this Champagne. The palate delivers a ripe, flavorsome impression of peach custard and lemon crème brûlée. The acidity is nicely placed and the the finish upbeat with vibrant fruit expression." - 93 Points, James Suckling

NV Veuve-Clicquot - $69  $65
"Some oyster shell, berry biscuits, fresh strawberries and gently toasty brioche here. Lots to like. The palate is plump and flavorsome with plenty of berries and citrus intertwined. Good depth here. Grapefruit finish." - 92 Points, James Suckling

NV Pol Roger - $69  $66
"The NV Brut Réserve, based on the 2012 vintage and disgorged after four years on the lees in July 2017, is very clear, precise and fresh on the nose, with bright fruit and delicate brioche notes. Blending equal parts of Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay from 30 different crus and with 25% reserve wines, this is a clear, fresh, tight and finessed Champagne with an intense, powerful but also filigreed finish. This is an impressive, taut and persistent "White Foli" for many opportunities. Tasted June 2018." - 92 Points, The Wine Advocate

NV Larmandier-Bernier Longitude Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut - $95  $90
"Bright straw. Intensely perfumed bouquet displays aromas of green apple, Anjou pear and quinine, plus a strong chalky mineral overtone. Spicy citrus and orchard fruit flavors are complemented by deeper notes of sweet butter, toasty lees and anise, gaining power with air. Impressively focused on the finish, with strong mineral cut and lingering spiciness." 92 Points, Vinous

NV Krug Cuvée 166 - $330  $299
"Compared to Krug's 160th edition, the bright golden-yellow colored NV Grande Cuvée 166ème Édition (ID117010) is still a baby that shows the chalky and fruity features of a young white Burgundy intermixed with notes of Schwarzwälder Kirsch (dark cherries with black chocolate) and floral (ammonia) flavors on the pure, fresh and elegant yet intense and still yeasty brioche nose with its ripe apple aromas and refreshingly bright (lemon juice) overtones. Round, wide and very elegant yet also straight and tense on the palate, this 2010-dominated cuvée is very delicate, fresh and chalky but also dense and lush in its vinous texture. The finish is well-structured, fresh and persistent, indicating great complexity and vibrancy." 96+ Points, The Wine Advocate
