"This is a delightfully structured, succulent champagne with a nose of yellow iris, white hedge flowers and apple blossoms. The Chardonnay is from an enclave in the Montagne de Reims – from Trépail and Villers Marmery and then Sézannais from south of Côte des Blancs. The palate reflects “golden delicious” apples, honey-dew melon, new pineapple, pink grapefruit, custard apple, tangelo & honeyed nuts. The Pinot Noir from Mailly, Verzenay and Ludes showcases raspberries, new season cherries and strawberries which shines through a layer of nougat and mandarin sherbet. A slice of apple pie appears sprinkled with cinnamon and toasted almonds. The base wine is from the gorgeous vintage of 2014.
