"2018 (the base year) was an exceptional year due to the simultaneous combination of mild temperatures and very little rainfall during a large part of the vegetative phase of the vine. After a mild and wet winter, the sunny summer days and the cool nights of the second half of August allowed the grapes to ripen perfectly. The 2018 harvest offered us rich, complex and beautifully balanced wines, precursors of a great vintage. 2018 is holding all its detail and depth as fuel for another leg in the journey. What it does give you right now A delicate nose with hints of fresh citrus and white flowers. It has a delicious hit of energy, iodine and oyster going into sumptuous, fleshy fruit and ripe flavours, but no overt. Nougat, toasty praline and ginger biscuit, a beautiful citrus syrup length, it’s all going on – still youthful and it will be perfectly happy left in the cellar to get to work on some further complexity. A perfect balance between freshness and delicacy with fruity flavours very present on the finish. This could turn out to be a bit of a legend for a house whose reputation is deservedly on the rise." - Importer Notes
