Description / Reviews
100% Viognier from granite soil slopes rising above the Rhone river.
"The lay of the land is too steep to allow any mechanized picking. The vineyard has often been a victim of history and almost disapeared on several occasions, during the barbarian invasions and with the phylloxera infestation. The nose shows deep aromas that are reminiscent of exotic fruit and crystallised peach. This is a very concentrated wine which produces a lots of intense, ripe flavours on the palate. Its smooth texture is enhanced by a subtle touch of oak, which gives it an added dimension and distinctive character." - Delas, Winemaker
"Light gold. High-pitched, mineral-driven aromas of green apple, nectarine, ginger, violet and white pepper, with a sexy floral nuance gaining strength in the glass. Sappy and incisive, offering palate-staining pit fruit and mineral flavors that show impressive clarity and depth. Finishes spicy, stony and very long, with lingering floral notes." - 93 points, Josh Raynolds, Vinous
