Description
"A discreet application of wood and moderate reduction blur the nuances of the slightly riper aromas of citrus confit and white orchard fruit. Once again there is very fine density on the caressing yet reasonably precise flavors that are more mineral-inflected on the very dry, lemony, energetic and lingering finish that possesses a chalky texture. This is excellent for what it is and recommended." - Allen Meadows
"The 2020 Mâcon-Verzé has a more neutral bouquet at first and demands a bit of coaxing. Light touches of smoke and walnuts begin to emerge. The palate is well-balanced with bitter lemon entry. There is a faint nuttiness here and a modest, praline depth, though it swiftly cuts away on the finish. I probably prefer the 2019, but this is still a fine Mâcon-Verzé." - Neal Martin
