Description / Reviews
"Garennes is the result of blending Meunier, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grape varieties, from the terroirs of Chambrecy, Damery, Cumières and Hautvillers, wines from 2013 to 2021, aged in barrels aged 1 to 20 years. A light dosage of 1g of organic grape sugar per litre will be applied to perfect the balance of Garennes Extra Brut, the Demi Sec will receive 40g. The harmony between matter, structure, freshness, and deliciousness is the signature of our Garennes cuvée." - Georges Laval, Winemaker
"The NV Extra Brut Garennes 13-21 is a blend of Pinot Noir, Meunier and Chardonnay from 2013 through to 2021 from Chambrecy, Damery, Cumières and Hauvillers. The scented nose gives hints of plum and tart but ripe, red apple with rounded, smooth, creamy oakiness. Frothy mousse expands on a salty, profound body that exudes chalk, tart apple flesh and even more salty sourdough crumb. Beautifully taut, wonderfully stony and with a real, beautiful and bracing line of freshness. Bright, savory and with proper length. Dosage is 1gr/L. Disgorged: June 12, 2023." - 94 Points, Anne Krebiehl MW, Vinous
