Description
// Organic Chardonnay planted in 1955. Soil rests on clay-limestone, stony on white marl.
"Jura is the new Burgundy, or should I say the old one. The atmosphere, the soils, nature and the feeling Pierre Girardin got there was magic. Rotalier is a well-known village of South Revermont, surrounded by hills planted in vines, luxurious flora and small, charming wine villages, similar soil as Côte de Beaune with limestone. The start of a new adventure.
Pierrre followed the same approach as in Burgundy, a single plot, a single lieu-dit, a unique wine! The Jura project was no longer a one shot but definitely the beginning of a new story for the Domaine.
A crystalline, lively and salty wine, marked by a beautiful mineral tension. The nose, characterised by a discreet reduction, evokes the authentic terroir of the Jura. On the palate, the lemony freshness is combined with a delicate velvety roundness, supported by an elegant structure. This cuvée is aimed at enthusiasts looking for a mineral white wine with beautiful tension and expressive fruit, revealing the full potential of the Jura's high-altitude terroirs. Drink now or cellar for up to 10 years." - Clos Cachet
