Description
"Mid lemon. Quite rich and open at this point, with a floral nose of white flowers, a little chlorophyll and rich lemon. Moderate, crisp acidity. Quite long, intensely mineral and plenty of tension. " - 17/20, Jancis Robinson
"A discreet application of oak sets off markedly floral-suffused white orchard fruit aromas. Once again there is a strikingly lovely texture to the generously proportioned medium weight flavors that deliver excellent length on the balanced finale. Like several wines in the range, this too could use better depth so some patience is recommended. With that said, Champs Canet almost always drinks well young so if you're going to pull a Carillon '23 to try, this would be a good choice." - 90-93 points, Allen Meadows
"The 2023 Puligny-Montrachet Champs Canet 1er Cru, which comes from vines on the mid-slope, has an open nose with apple blossom, grass clippings and fennel notes. The palate is similarly open and expressive already, but there is a little more tension than the Village Cru, with more density and grip on the finish. Drink this over the next five to seven years." - 89-91 points, Allen Meadows
