The supple, delicious and vibrant, if not especially dense, flavors offer reasonable depth and persistence on the slightly grippy and youthfully austere finale. "The 2023 Savigny-lès-Beaune La Dominode 1er Cru has more lift and perfume compared to the Clos des Guettes, with finely delineated red cherries, strawberries and rooibos. "The Dominode bottling from Jadot is consistently its top wine from this village. The 2023 boasts a deep ruby hue and pronounced aromas of black plum and mulberry, with an edge of mineral concentration and a hint of spice. The texture is tannic and dense, driving the wine to an impressively lingering finish that displays a great purity of fruit due to the ageing in large oak uprights (foudres).
