"Each year, our winemakers identify distinctive parcels of fruit that reflect the vineyard from which they are grown. Both the Cabernet and Malbec grapes used in this wine were selected from our Lodge Hill propety. The vibrnt, yet elegat style of the Cabernet is complemented by the lifted aromatics, colour and freshness delivered by the Malbec. Although the late Jim Barry made many wines of this blend, this is only the fifth year we have produced a Cabernet Malbec since 1997, a nod to his winemaking vision." - Winemaker Notes

"A vibrant expression, lush and bright with supple texture and a general sense of high drinkability. It's not trying to reinvent the wheel or put glitter all over it, instead, we get a compact, refined, pure-feeling cabernet of great balance, vibrant fruit, integrated winemaking overlay and a general sense of ease.
