Teremana is a highland tequila which makes it a bright and fruity, as opposed to lowland tequila, which generally has a more earthy and savoury character overall. There are three main styles of tequila: blanco, which is un-aged; reposado, which spends up to three months in American oak barrels that once held whiskey; and añejo, which spends up to one year in those barrels. The Reposado has inviting aromatics with very balanced flavours. The nose offers toffee on herbal and hay underpinning, clover, honey, jasmine, and salted caramel. The palate has lifted lemon pith and grapefruit zest, along with dark chocolate, and agave grassiness. The finish features butterscotch, tannic oak, and roasted agave.
